As most of you are aware as of today, 13th May 2020, angling is now a permitted activity during the ‘lockdown’. This means that fisheries, fishing clubs and societies can reopen for fishing.
We care deeply for the wellbeing of our anglers, and therefore must plan considerably for a successful and safe opening. Therefore, both lakes and the river will reopen today 13th of May; however, we are following protocol with many other outdoor recreation venues and will only open for season ticket holders at the present. We will review the situation in a few days and we will update you all then on day ticket availability.
We are doing this to control the opening of the fishery in a calm and safe way to keep our anglers and staff safe, as well as to ensure that the fishery remains an enjoyable environment.
We believe that we can open up for day tickets very soon, so do not despair! But we hope you understand that we want to assess the situation with consideration of the ‘wider picture’, and ensure the safest opening procedure for all of you.
Stated below is the measures and protocol that we have put in place, that MUST be abided by to enjoy our tranquil venue:
We encourage paying for your fishing over the phone alongside your booking; we can take payment at the fishery our card machine.
As the reliance of mobile phones has increased somewhat, during this time we now have two phone numbers upon which you can call for assistance and booking;
07544 801844 – Malcolm
07931067601 – Fen
